The Heart of a Worshipper – David’s Experience w/ Pastor Cecil Thompson

As we explore the journey of David, the worshipper, we must understand that the vicissitudes of life are inevitable. David was anointed King of Israel because of his heart after GOD. In these sessions, we will notice what attracted GOD to David the most was his heart to worship the LORD, His GOD. This does not in any way negate the reality of David’s suffering, anger, and yes even his disobedience. However, GOD showed David mercy and grace because he understood what the purpose of his life was — to bring glory and honor to GOD! During this semester we will connect the writings of 1st and 2nd Samuel to the prophetic, praise, worship, songs and poetry of Psalms.
