Old Testament Bible Survey I

As no single course or program is able to address every subject of the Old Testament of necessity, this survey course will elucidate themes that are central to God’s self-disclosure to His chosen people and to salvation history. The themes are interwoven, will be addressed systematically, while emanating from the Pentateuch, the historical narratives, and the Books of prophecy. Where necessary, deuterocanonical material will be drawn upon to aid in contextual interpretation. Ultimately, the course’s main goal is to strengthen the faith of each participant and to let each participant know “the Lord of host is with us and the God of Jacob is our refuge,” (Psalm 46:1).
