Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Apostle Dr. Robert Black is a man of faith, vision, and leadership. Married for over 27 years to his lovely wife, Stacey, Robert now resides in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he continues to inspire and lead in ministry.
A former professional drummer, Robert has worked with gospel legends like Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, and the late Andre Crouch. Answering God’s call to ministry, Robert pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor’s degree from NYACK College, a Master’s in Christian Ministry from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian University.
In 2017, Robert founded Total Worship Center, where he serves as Senior Pastor, with a vision to establish hybrid models of church and small groups nationwide. In 2020, he launched Gideon’s Circle, a mentorship program for young men ages 18–35, designed to empower them spiritually and professionally. A year later, in 2021, he introduced three virtual academies—Total Worship Center Bible Academy, Worship Academy, and Prophetic Academy—offering innovative opportunities for spiritual growth.
In 2022, Dr. Black established the Divine Alignment Kingdom Association (DAKA), a growing network of churches and ministries united in spreading the gospel. Through his unwavering dedication and divine vision, Apostle Dr. Robert Black is building a legacy of faith, mentorship, and kingdom impact.
