Apostle Dr. Robert L. Black
Apostle Robert Black was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. In 1997, Robert married his beautiful wife, Stacey Black and relocated to New York. Robert has been faithfully married for over 21 wonderful years and now resides in Greensboro, North Carolina
In the past, Robert has been a professional drummer and percussionist in Los Angeles, working with various artists such as: Dr. Judith McAllister, LA Mass Choir, Kurt Karr, Kirk Franklin, West Angeles COGIC, Donnie McClurkin, The Gospel Music Workshop of America, the late Daryl Coley, the late Ricky Grundy, the late Thomas Whitfield, the late Andre Crouch, the late Edwin Hawkins, and many others.
Upon receiving his call to the ministry, Robert continued his studies in order to “show himself approved for a workman needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). Robert holds a Bachelor Degree with Distinction in Organization Management (B.S) from NYACK College in New York. Robert was inducted into the National Omicron Society for distinguished Higher Educational Scholars in 2005. Also, Robert holds a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Ministry (M.A.C.M) with a concentration in Pastoral Ministries from Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia. Also, Robert holds a Doctorate of Divinity Degree from St. Thomas Christian University in Jacksonville Florida.
From June 2000 until January 2005, he served in the capacity of Youth President at the Int. Pentecostal City Mission Church in Brooklyn, NY, under the leadership of Bishop P. Reid and Rev C. Reid.
Robert and Stacey moved to Albany, New York in 2005. Robert was licensed and ordained as a Minister in October 2005 and served as Youth Pastors with his wife Stacey at New Covenant Christian Fellowship under the leadership and Pastors, Donald and Rose Stuart.
In 2006, Robert launched and promoted the “Total Worship Conference” which hosted many worshippers in the city of Albany and around the world, beyond denominational boundaries. Some of the featured guests included Apostle Rose Stuart, Israel and New Breed, Bishop George Bloomer, Vickie Yohe, Stephen Heard, Judah Camp, and Dr. Judith McAllister.
In November 2010, Robert, Stacey, and their daughter Victoria, relocated to North Carolina and were under the covering (watch care) of Bishop Greg Hargrave of the Gospel Tabernacle United Holy Church until November 2017.
Robert currently serves as Senior Pastor of Total Worship Center in Greensboro, North Carolina with the vision of building Hybrid Models of TWC Church and Small Groups throughout the country. Through God’s help, Robert has launched an annual Praise and Worship Symposium and Youth Explosion Conference in the New York and Florida areas. Through this ministry and by the grace of God, lives have been transformed and revolutionized through the avenue of Praise and Worship. His motto and vision is, “The body of Christ must be positioned for worship”.
